Number of Servings: 12

Ingredients

    2 cups flour
    4 tsp baking powder
    3/4 tsp salt
    1 tbsp sugar
    6 tbsp butter
1 cup milk (I used skim)

Directions

Preheat oven to 450F

Mix all dry ingredients in a large bowl.

Cut butter into dry ingredients, until mixture looks like coarse bread crumbs.

Stir milk into butter mixture until a soft dough forms.

Using 2 big spoons form drop biscuits on a baking sheet.

OR

Roll dough out on floured surface to 3/4" thick and cut out biscuits (2.5" diameter)

Bake biscuits at 450 for 10 - 12 minutes, or until lightly golden.

Makes 12 biscuits.

Note: if you use whole wheat flour the caloric content stays the same, but the fibre content goes up :)
