    1 lb ground beef
    1/2 cup onion, chopped

    1 cup mozzarella cheese, grated
    1/2 cup colby-jack cheese, grated

Great ingredients, although no spices. Very little flavor. I added some California style garlic powder which did the trick. I will do it again and will try different spices. - 7/2/09

  • Substituted ground turkey and added 4 cloves of garlic. Sautéed onions, celery, and 1c diced carrots for about 5 min before adding turkey and garlic. Not a mushroom fan so I left them out. Super yummy! Going in regular rotation. Next time I will 1/4 the zucchini slices to make it more kid friendly - 10/25/11

  • This was a spectacular base recipe to jump from. I added 2 cans of diced tomatoes, fresh chives instead of onions, skipped the mushrooms and celery and added 1/4 cup parm. cheese to the mix. When serving I added a sprinkle of sharp cheddar on to of each serving. Spectacular and full of flavor. - 7/21/11
