Paulas Perfect Pie Crust

Number of Servings: 16

Ingredients

    2 1/2 C flour
    1/4 tsp salt
    3 Tbls sugar
    1/4 C vegetable shortening
    12 Tbls butter
    1/4 c ice water

Directions

sift together dry ingredients
Add shortening and break it up with hands.
Cut in cold butter and work into pea size bits.
Add ice water until dough is formed.
Cut into two equal parts and flatten into discs
Wrap in plastic wrap and chill for 1 hour.
