Jumbo Ravioli with Fresh Veggie Meat Sauce

Introduction

Use well-made cheese ravioli or fresh made to center the savory tomato sauce on. Any combo of fresh vegetables of your choice could be added for more variety like baby spinach leaves or roasted red sweet peppers. It doesn't need any salt at all for flavor. Enjoy!!! Ingredients

    8 lg. fresh basil leaves, shredded, 2 garlic cloves, minced, 1 lg. onion,chopped, 1 green bell pepper, chopped, 3 plum tomatoes, chopped, 4 oz. 93% lean ground beef, browned with grease drained off, 1 tsp. olive oil, crushed red pepper to taste, 1 pkg. frozen Price Chopper 13 oz. Cheese Ravioli.

Directions

Makes 3- 4 piece servings with sauce. In Med. sauce pan with cover, saute in oil, pepper, onion, and garlic til softened, 5-6 mins. Add basil, tomatoes, crushed red pepper and ground beef. Cook on med. for 2-3 mins., stirring. Add tomato sauce and stir to combine. Cover and remain cooking on low heat. While sauce is cooking, cook ravioli as per pkg. directions, 2-3 mins. remove, drain and plate with veggie sauce.
