MY Favorite Oatmeal

Introduction

This Oatmeal recipe has everything I need to keep me full and feeling good all morning. This Oatmeal recipe has everything I need to keep me full and feeling good all morning.
Number of Servings: 1

Ingredients

    1/2 C. Old Fashioned Oats
    1 T Raisins (or dried cranberries)
    1 T Ground Flax
    1 T Cinnamon
    1 Egg (egg substitute could be used)
    1/2 oz H&H (optional)

    **chopped walnut or almond pieces (optional add ins)

Directions

This is how I do it:
Measure 2 cups water into pan
Add 1/2 c. Oats, raisins (or cranberries) gr. flax, cinnamon
Bring to rapid boil; stir well
Drop tempered egg into cooked oatmeal, stir well
Add 1/2 oz H&H or Milk, Stir til creamy.
Add sweetener if desidred
*Sometimes I add chopped walnut or almond pieces to the mix.
*This can also be done in the Microwave for 1 or 2 min. BUT watch carefully so that it doesn't boil over the top of the container...
