Turkey Meat Sauce

Introduction

quick, easy meat sauce for pasta or rice quick, easy meat sauce for pasta or rice
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    16 oz lean ground turkey, browned
    14.5 oz diced tomatoes
    16 oz tomato sauce
    2 tsp minced garlic
    ~1/2 tsp sea salt
    ~3/4 tsp ground black pepper
    1 Tbsp Italian Seasoning
    ~1 tsp Oregano
    ~1 tsp red pepper flakes

Directions

Brown turkey in skillet on medium to medium-high heat.
Add diced tomatoes and tomato sauce.
Add spices and mix thoroughly.
Lower heat to low and simmer for 30 - 45 min. stirring occasionally.
Serve over pasta or rice.
Makes 4 hearty servings.

    I just divide it up into 4 servings. I usually make up the extra into lunches so they just go into containers when I'm serving it up I just do it all at the same time and let it cool down before putting it in the fridge.
