2 small heads of cabbage 1 T sugar 1 T Smart Balance buttery spread 1/2 tsp salt water
Wash and cut cabbage into small wedges. Place in a medium size pot. Pour water in pot until it is about 1 inch deep. Sprinkle sugar and salt over cabbage. Place butter on top of cabbage. Place lid on pot and cook on high for about 7 minutes. Stir cabbage and replace lid. Turn burner down to medium and continue cooking until tender (about 35 - 40 minutes). Makes about 8 1/2 cup servings.
