8 oz. dried beef
6 cups milk
6 tbsp butter
6 tbsp flour
Pepper, salt, garlic powder and onion powder to taste
Over low heat, melt butter a pan deep enough to hold all the milk.
Stir in the flour to make a rue.
Pour milk over rue, raise heat to medium and bring to a boil stirring constantly.
After the mixture thickens add seasonings and beef.
Serve over toast cut into large pieces.
