Whole Wheat grilled biscuitsSubmitted by: RHOADAN
IntroductionAdapted from a biscuit recipe that came with my G5 Foreman Grill. Adapted from a biscuit recipe that came with my G5 Foreman Grill.
Whole Wheat Flour, 2 cup
Baking Powder, 2.5 tsp
Salt, .5 tsp
Butter, unsalted, 5 tbsp
Soy Milk, .75 cup
Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Add soy milk, and stir with fork until dough forms a ball.
Place on floured surface and knead for about 2 minutes.
Roll out about .25 in thick, and cut out biscuits with a 2-3 inch round cutter.
Grill setup: Use steak plate in top of unit, baking pan on the bottom. Set lever to back, locked position and temp to med to pre-heat.
Place biscuits in pan approx 1" apart, and close lid. Bake 6-8 minutes.
Makes 8-12 biscuits. I assumed two biscuits/serving.
