Introduction

This is something I put together because my refrigerator is on the verge of dying. I was trying to use up what I had in it. This is something I put together because my refrigerator is on the verge of dying. I was trying to use up what I had in it.
Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    1 small head cabbage, chopped
    1 c. red cabbage chopped
    1/2 lb. lean ground beef (can use turkey or chicken)
    1 small onion, chopped
    1 clove garlic, finely chopped
    1 Tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce
    2 tsp. olive oil
    2 Tbsp. balsamic vinegar

Directions

Brown lean ground beef with chopped onion and garlic in olive oil. Add Worcestershire sauce, salt & pepper to taste. When beef is no longer pink and onions are soft add 1 small head green cabbage chopped and 1 cup red cabbage chopped. Saute until cabbage is soft. Add Balsalmic vinegar and heat through. (You can use white balsamic vinegar if you prefer a slightly sweeter taste). Makes 6 servings.

Serve inside whole wheat pita bread or with whole wheat Greek pita. This is good cold as well if stuff inside a pita.
