Introduction

This is very rich. It reminds me of fruit crisp without all the butter. Very yummy!!! This is very rich. It reminds me of fruit crisp without all the butter. Very yummy!!!

Ingredients

    1.5 lbs of the dried fruit of your choice (I used apple, apricots, cranberries & raisins)
    1.5 cups sugar
    8 cups of water
    4 cinnamon sticks
    10 cloves
    (Several folks have suggested nuts as well)

Directions

Bring to a boil, reduce to a simmer for 30 minutes approximately. Cook time can be adjusted based on liquid level you wish.
