1 cup sugar 2 cups whole wheat flour 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. salt 1 cup buttermilk 2 T. coconut oil 4 eggs 1 quart cherry pie filling
Preheat oven to 350. Coat 9"x13" baking pan with cooking spray. Combine dry ingredients in a bowl. In another bowl whisk together eggs, buttermilk and oil. Stir into dry ingredients. Spread half of batter into bottom of pan. Top with cherry pie filling. Spoon remaining batter over top and smooth as best as you can. Bake 35-40 minutes or until done. Makes 12 servings.
