Summer veggies & Tuna Steak

Submitted by: HOPEY72

Introduction

Perfect summer dish, takes only a few minutes to cook so the house stays cool! I buy a few tuna steak pouches ahead of time, they keep in the pantry for long periods of time with no refridgeration needed. Just waiting for the garden crop to ripen up! Ingredients

Summer squash, zucchini, onions, and pre-packaged tuna steaks.

Directions

1) Slice onions and start browning in pan with some oil.
2) Slice up squash and zucchini and put in pan with onions.
3) Add garlic and bullion to taste.
4) Let veggies get about halfway cooked and then open tuna steak pouches, drain liquid into pan to add more flavor.
5) Lay tuna steaks on top of veggies and cover with lid
6) Let simmer on low, stiring veggies occasionally. Be careful not to move the steaks too often as they can fall apart.

Easy!

  • It would hv. been nice to hv. the ingredients listed on the page instead of having to go and read them separately. It takes just an extra minute or two to add them but makes it a lot easier on us, expecially if we're printing it out to use. - 7/15/09
