Whole Wheat Orange Pancakes

Introduction

This is adapted from SP recipe for Whole Wheat Pancakes. We use OJ instead of milk and it gives them a different flavor and texture.

If you do not want to use the egg, you can exchange it for 1 tsp of oil.

Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    1 cup Whole Wheat Flour
    1/2 cup White Flour
    2 tsp baking powder
    1/2 tsp baking soda
    2-1/2 cups Orange Juice
    1 egg (or 1 tsp oil)

Directions

Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl. Stir only to remove large bumps (do not use a mixer or blender).
Pour 2-3 TBSP of batter onto hot griddle.
When bubbles appear and bottom is lightly browned, flip.

Makes approx 16 "silver dollar" pancakes
