Homemade Whole Wheat Pancake Mix

Introduction

This saves a lot of money & is a lot healthier than prepared "just add water" mixes. It is so simple to make ahead, you will never go back to those boxed mixes!! I haven't!! This saves a lot of money & is a lot healthier than prepared "just add water" mixes. It is so simple to make ahead, you will never go back to those boxed mixes!! I haven't!!
Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    1 cup whole wheat flour
    6 Tbsp powdered milk
    5 Tbsp ground flax seed
    3 Tbsp splenda
    1 tsp baking powder
    1 tsp baking soda
    dash salt

    When ready to cook add:
    1 1/2 cups water
    2 Tbsp oil
    1 tsp vanilla extract

Directions

Mix all dry ingredients together in a ziplock bag. Store in a cool dry place until ready to use. I usually mix up several bags at once & write on each bag how much oil, water, & vanilla need for cooking, that way it's really easy to prepare on busy mornings!

When you are ready to prepare pancakes, mix in water, oil, and vanilla. Cook pancakes as usual & enjoy!!
Makes 6 large pancakes.
