Chicken Potstickers

Submitted by: KATSPAWPRINTS

Number of Servings: 3

Ingredients

    Cabbage, fresh, 2 cup, chopped
    Spinach, fresh, .25 cup, chopped
Chicken Breast, cooked, no skin, 16 ounces, diced
    Ginger Root, 1 tsp, minced
    Garlic, 2 cloves, minced
    Celery, raw, 2 tbsp, minced
Kikkoman Lite Soy Sauce, 1 tbsp
    Cider Vinegar, 1 tbsp
    Sesame Oil, 1 1tsp
    Salt, .25 tsp
    Wonton wrappers, 6
    Canola Oil, 1 tbsp
    1/4 water

Directions

Dice cooked chicken breast. Mix cabbage, spinach, chicken, ginger, garlic, celery, soy sauce, vinegar, and sesame oil in a large bowl until well combined.

Cut each wrapper into 4 square pieces. Fill wonton wrappers with about a teaspoon of the mixture. Lightly moisten sides of wonton and fold in half, pressing together tightly. Place finished wontons in a plastic bag until ready to cook to prevent drying out.

To cook, place canola oil in a large saute pan on medium-high heat. When oil is hot, place wontons in pan and cook about 1 minute. Pour 1/4 cup water in the pan and cover immediately with a lid. Let steam for about 3 minutes. Remove lid and continue cooking until excess water is evaporated. Makes 24 dumplings.

Thanks! We had them last night for dinner. The original recipe called for them to be deep fried (which we've also had), but it's a healthier option to just steam them. Enjoy!
