Submitted by: QUIXOTIQUE

Introduction

This is a GREAT sandwich for a summer day or on a day you're craving something sweet but healthy. Takes about 2 minutes to make and is super filling. This is a GREAT sandwich for a summer day or on a day you're craving something sweet but healthy. Takes about 2 minutes to make and is super filling.
Number of Servings: 1

Ingredients

    2 slices sprouted grain bread
2 tbsp Better'n Peanut Butter (add 90-100 calories for regular peanut butter)
1 tbsp honey (or less if you want it a little less sweet)
    5 sliced up strawberries

Directions

Toast your slices of bread, and cut up the strawberries into small slices. These will be the "meat" of your sandwich. When the bread is done, spread 2 tbsp of the peanut butter on the bottom, pile the strawberries on, and spread the honey on top.

Enjoy!

This sounds real good. I've eaten peanut butter and banana sandwiches my whole life but I never tried it with strawberries. For anyone who wants to use bananas the honey is not needed. - 7/30/09

  • Drop the honey and save about half the carbs (much better for diabetics!!) I did that and found that I didn't really even miss the honey (I don't like things that are sweet anymore!)

  • SO GOOD
My toaster is currently not working so I did grilled cheese still bread, but the bread was only 40 calories per slice and I used sugar free honey and light butter. Thanks for the recipe I will be making this often! - 6/23/10
