Introduction

One skillet supper but it needs to be a big skillet! One skillet supper but it needs to be a big skillet!
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
    1 large onion, diced
    3 cloves garlic, minced
    1 lb ground beef
    2 tbsp chili powder, divided
    1 28oz can petite diced tomatoes
    1 8oz can tomato sauce
    1 14oz can white beans
    1 14oz can black beans
    1c water
    8oz whole wheat penne, uncooked
    1/8c sugar
    1/2 tsp red pepper flakes

Directions

Saute onion in oil until translucent. Add garlic and saute additional minute. Add ground beef and brown. Sprinkle with 1/2 of chili powder and cook additional minute. Add tomatoes, sauce, beans, water, 1/2 of chili powder, red pepper flakes, and sugar. Stir. Mix in pasta. Bring to boil. Cover. Cook 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serves 8.
