Introduction

This is my favorite dinner! An awesome meal to warm you to your toes on a cool fall night! I normally serve with Mashed Potatoes and either Corn or Peas. This is my favorite dinner! An awesome meal to warm you to your toes on a cool fall night! I normally serve with Mashed Potatoes and either Corn or Peas.
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    2 lb Ground Chuck
    1 medium Onion chopped
    1 lg Egg
    Saltine Crackers Crushed about half a sleeve
    Ketchup
    Salt to taste
    Pepper to taste

Directions

Leave meat out of fridge for about a half hour to warm. In a big bowl mix Ground Chuck, egg, onion, crackers and salt and pepper. Form into loaf in a foil lined backing pan. Spread ketchup over top, use as little or as much as you like, or leave off. The ketchup gives the loaf a little kick.

Bake at 350 for any where from 1 hour (if you spread it in a cake pan) to a an hour and 45 minutes depending on the size and thickness of your loaf.

Feeds 6-10 people, depending on portion size.
