Basic Fat-Burning Soup

Number of Servings: 18
1 (28 oz) can diced tomatoes
1 1/2 c. chopped onions
3 c. chopped cabbage
1 c. diced carrots
1 c. diced celery
1 c. frozen green beans
1 (16 oz.) can refried beans ( I like the one with jalapenos!)
1/2 c. vinegar
1 1/2 tsp. crushed garlic
salt & pepper
4-6 cups water ( enough to cover)
Optional - a packet of stevia ( to bring down the heat of the jalapenos) =)
Fill a large pot with the all ingredients (except the refried beans), and cover with lots of water. Bring to a boil, then turn heat to low. Simmer 30 minutes. In the last few minutes, add the refried beans, stirring in till combined.
Note -- this soup is so versatile -- use whatever veggies you like ....fresh are better, or frozen.
Just stick to your base ingredients. Be creative with the choice of herbs!.....whatever you like!
My favorites: Mrs. Dash's Chipolte Seasoning, oregano, fresh basil or cilantro ( depending on the mood!), balsamic vinegar, 1 TB. homeade basil pesto.....just be creative.
