Chocolate Chip Banana Cookies

Introduction

A low fat, low calorie version

Number of Servings: 36

Ingredients

    Nutmeg, ground, 1/4 tsp
    Salt, 1/2 tsp
    Applesauce, unsweetened, 3/4 cup
    Banana, fresh, 1 cup, mashed (3 bananas)
    Flour, white, 3/4 cup
    Whole Wheat Flour, 3/4 cup
    Chopped Walnuts, 1/3 cup
    Quaker Oatmeal (uncooked, dry), 1 3/4 cup
    Sunny Select Milk Chocolate Chips, 6 oz
    Butter Flavored Cooking Spray, 1 serving

    Substituting Applesauce makes this recipe very low in fat and very moist

    The original recipe has 1 tsp cinnamon in it. I forgot to add, but takes just as good.
    The nuts are optional. (I chose not to add them)

Directions

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. Mix applesauce and bananas until smooth. Add remaining ingredients except for nuts and chocolate chips. Beat until well mixed. Add chocolate chips and nuts if desired and stir until blended.

Using a tablespoon, drop on to prepared cookie sheets.
Makes 36 cookies.
