Bolognese Sauce

Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    1 Medium Onion, chopped
    3 Garlic Cloves, chopped
    3 Carrots, chopped
    1 celery stalk, chopped
    1 lb extra lean ground beef
    1 tsp salt
    1/2 tsp black pepper

Directions

Heat oil in pot at medium-high heat and cook onion and garlic for 2 minutes or until onion begins to soften. Add carrots and celery and cook for 2-3 minutes. Add ground beef breaking it up with back of wooden spoon. Cook until meat begins to brown (3-4 minutes). Add tomatoes, bring to a boil. Reduce heat and cook for 45 minutes.

Pour over your favorite pasta. Enjoy
