Vegtable - Hamburger Soup

Submitted by: KATHY6696

Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    6 Cups beef broth
    1 lb. lean hamburger
    One large onion
    cup green pepper
    1 cup carrots
    1 cup green beans
    1/2 cup peas
1- 28oz. can of whole tomatoes
    1/2cups cooked maccaroni

Directions

I precooked carrots and fresh string beans. (Usually they are left over because I know I am making a soup)

While bringing 6 cups of beef broth to boil, brown hamburger, chopped onions and green pepper. I add a little garlic powder while I am browning the beef. Drain of any fat drippings.

Add this to beef broth.

Add cooked carrots, green beans and peas. (you can use any vegtables you like.)

Add two cups cooked maccaroni or cook one cup maccaroni in the beef broth. (I like to used already cooked)

One 28oz can of whole tomatoes. I dump the can in a big bowl and cut the tomatoes up. I do this because sometimes there is a little of the skin left . ------- Add to be it all to the beef broth (tomatoes and the juice)

If you used cooked maccaroni , cook until tender. If not your soup is done. I add not salt because there is some in the beef broth plus you can always add it to taste when you eat it.
