Ok - this is not the lightest recipe availble. But - in comparison to granny's actual recipe, its a better alternative. ENJOY! Ok - this is not the lightest recipe availble. But - in comparison to granny's actual recipe, its a better alternative. ENJOY!Number of Servings: 8
Ingredients
-
1 10 oz can cream of chicken soup - undiluted
8 oz low fat or fat free sour cream
30 oz cooked chicken (I use canned)
1 tbsp poppy seeds
40 buttery crackers, crushed
1/4 cup melted margarine
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine the first 4 ingredients in a large bowl. Pour into lightly greased (I use Pam spray) casserole dish. Crush crackers and mix in melted margarine until crackers are lightly damp and stick together somewhat. Sprinkle cracker mixture over entire casserole. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
I used canned chicken because its faster - cooking an actual chicken does make the recipe far better though if you have time!
