Homemade Ginger Ale
Submitted by: FLORTROPICALNumber of Servings: 12
Ingredients
-
Fresh Ginger Root - peeled and sliced
Water - 2 cups
Splenda to taste
Club soda
Directions
Prepare this recipe to your own taste, experiment, you can't go wrong!
Slow boil, peeled and sliced fresh ginger root in about 2 cups of water, for about 30 minutes. Do this in a covered sauce pan. The water will reduce and turn golden brown.
Store this mixture in the refrigerator and in a covered pitcher, ginger and all until ready to serve.
To serve, pour about a 1/4 cup (to taste) of ginger in a tall glass, add 1 packet of Splenda and stir. Then add ice and club soda to fill glass. WOW, this is so good and refreshing!
Since ginger has a "kick" to it, the more ginger water you add to the glass, the spicier it will be.
Makes 10-14 servings depending how strong you drink it.
