Tasty Taco Salad

Introduction

Ingredients

    FOR DRESSING:
    7 tablespoons sour cream
    1 teaspoon Chili powder
    1 teaspoon onion, minced
    1 teaspoon garlic, minced

    FOR CHILI:
    1/2 cup tomato sauce
    1 cup kidney beans w/liquid
    1 cup pinto beans w/liquid
    1 medium Onion, diced
    2 cloves Garlic, minced
    1 roma tomato, chopped
    1 teaspoon Cumin powder
    1 tablespoon Chili powder
    1/2 teaspoon Black pepper
    1 teaspoon Salt
    1 cup Water

    FOR SALAD:
    8 cups iceburg lettuce, shredded
    1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
    1/2 cup onion, minced

    FOR CRUNCHIES:
    1 corn tortilla
    I Can't Believe It's Not Butter Spray

Directions

DRESSING: In a small bowl, mix sour cream, chili powder, onion and garlic. Cover and let sit until ready to serve.

CHILI: In a medium saucepan, combine tomato sauce, kidney beans, pinto beans, onion, garlic, roma tomato, cumin, chili powder, pepper, salt, and water. Bring to a simmer. Cover and simmer 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

SALAD: While chili is simmering, prepare lettuce, cheese and onion. Divide into four individual bowls.

CRUNCHIES: Spray each side of tortilla with five spritzes of ICBINB spray. Slice tortilla into thin strips. Place on cookie sheet and toast in toaster oven for 10 minutes.

ASSEMBLY: When chili has reached your preferred consistency, top each bowl of lettuce with 1/4 of chili, 2 tbsp dressing and 1/4 tortilla strips.
