Bulgar and Cabbage

Ingredients

    Bulgar, 1 cup
    Water, tap, 2 cup
    Olive Oil, 2 tsp
    Onions, raw, 1 cup, sliced
    Cabbage, fresh, 7 cup, chopped
    Poppyseed
    Salt and Pepper

Directions

Bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Add dry bulgar.Cover, reduce heat and simmer til water is absorbed-about 15 minutes.
Thinly slice an onion. Chop about 4-5 cups of cabbage. Heat oil in pan .Add onion slices , cover onions with cabbage.Don't mix. Cover and saute over medium heat about 10-15 minutes-until cabbage is somewhat wilted.. Mix and continue cooking for 20 -30 minutes more. liberally sprinkle poppyseed and mix. Add bulgar to pan and mix. Salt and pepper to taste. Makes 5 servings. Serving size is 1 cup.
