Mimi's Spaghetti

Introduction

My mom has made this spaghetti since I was a little girl. Everyone who eats it loves it - much better than that stuff in the jars! And it's so easy to make! My mom has made this spaghetti since I was a little girl. Everyone who eats it loves it - much better than that stuff in the jars! And it's so easy to make!
Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    1 lb lean ground beef
    2 15 oz cans tomato sauce
    1 15 oz can diced tomatoes
    1/2 medium chopped onion
    1/2 cup fresh mushrooms
    1 tbsp itilian seasoning
    8 oz box of whole wheat spaghetti

Directions

Brown onion and ground beef in dutch oven or deep skillet. Drain well. Wipe grease from pan. Return beef to pan. Add tomato sauce, diced tomatoes and seasoning. Simmer for 45 minutes. Add mushrooms and cook an additional 15 minutes or so. Serve over cooked noodles. Great with a side salad -- Serves 6
