Introduction

Delicious meatloaf, can substitute ground turkey and egg beaters for the meat and egg. If you do sub out the sausage, add extra calorie-free seasonings. Ingredients

    1 3/4 lean ground beef, thawed
    1/2 pound ground Italian sausage
    1 large egg
    3 T ground oregano
    1/2 can tomato sauce
    3/4 cup plain breadcrumbs
    1 sweet onion, chopped
    4 cloves garlic, chopped fine

Directions

Add all ingredients to a large mixing bowl, and prepare to get your hands dirty. Using hands, gently incorporate all ingredients together without overmixing. Once mixed, separate into 2 equal halves, and shape into loaves. Place loaves on wire rack over cookie sheet. Bake at 300 for 45 minutes, or until a pick test or meat thermometer declares meat fully cooked. Serve with salad, veggie, and mashed sweet potatoes for extra color and vitamins.
