Introduction

Basic Cheese Sauce that is great for topping veggies such as broccoli and asparagus or as the base for cheese soups and pasta sauces. Basic Cheese Sauce that is great for topping veggies such as broccoli and asparagus or as the base for cheese soups and pasta sauces.
Number of Servings: 10

Ingredients

    2 Tbsp Butter
    2 Tbsp Flour
    2 cups Heavy Whipping Cream
    2 cups Mozzarella Cheese, shredded
    1 cup Cheddar Cheese, shredded

Directions

1. Melt butter in a saucepan.
2. Add flour and stir to combine. Cook about 30 seconds.
3. Add heavy cream in stages, whisking to make sure there are no lumps. Cook to boiling. Reduce heat and cook 3 minutes. Stirring Constantly.
4. Remove from heat and add cheeses, a handful at a time, making sure each handful is melted before adding the next.
5. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
