1 cup Brown Sugar 1/2 cup molasses 2 T. butter 1 cup milk 1 T. salt3 cups cold water 2 T. yeast (one if setting overnight) 4 cups Rye Flour 9 cups White Flour
Boil brown sugar, molasses, butter, and milk. Dissolve yeast in water and salt. In a mixer, mix the sugar mixture, the yeast mixture, 9 c. of white flour, and 4 c. of rye flour. Knead the dough, then let rise. Punch it down and let it rise again. Put in pans and bake at 350 for 35 to 40 minutes.
