Mom's Corn Chowder

This is a classic corn chowder that my mother used to make, it has quite a bit of flavor. I have also added variations by adding crab or lobster with some Old Bay seasoning to the mix. Ingredients

1 Gallon 2% Milk
5 Cans Cream Corn
32 oz Frozen Sweet Corn
5 Medium Red Potatoes (peeled)
1 Package Bacon (cooked and sliced)
1 Cup White Onion
1 tsp Salt
2 tbsp Pepper
2 tbsp Garlic Powder
Directions
1. Fry up bacon until crisp, slice it up into small strips about .5 inch. Combine with chopped onion and finish frying until onion is translucent.
2. Cut potatoes to cubes, I usually do .5 inch square.
3. In a pot, combine milk, canned creamed corn, frozen corn, potatoes, bacon (with the bacon grease) and onion. Add your salt, pepper and garlic powder.
4. Cook on med until potatoes are tender.
Makes 16-20 - 1 cup servings.
