Toni's Italian Turkey Meatloaf

Introduction

Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    1 lb Ground Turkey
    1/2 cup dry quick cooking oatmeal
    1 large egg beaten
    1- 6 oz. can tomato paste
    1 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
    2 cloves fresh garlic - crushed
    1 Tbsp Onion powder
    1 Tbsp Italian herb seasoning

Directions

Preheat oven to 375
Beat egg.
Mix in tomato paste, worcestershire sauce, crushed garlic, onion and spices till well blended.
Add ground turkey and oatmeal, mix until well blended
Put in bread loaf pan
Spread ketchup over top
Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes (oven times may vary)

Serves 6

  • The recipe calls for way too much onion powder! We were all left with such an oniony aftertaste in our mouths that we chewed gum after dinner to get rid of it. Would be better to use chopped onion. Everyone in the family hated it so much that we threw out the remainder after one meal!! - 12/17/12

  • I loved it! I did substitute the tomato paste with spaghetti sauce and it came out wonderful! Thank you for sharing that one! I served it over spaghetti with veggies, and plan on having a slice as a sandwich tomorrow for lunch! - 7/13/10
