Directions

Mix all ingredients together by hand. Mixture should be crumbly. Do not over mix!

Spray Pam on a regular sized ice cream scoop to drop mixture on ungreased baking sheets. Or lightly shape into balls just smaller than your fist.

Bake at 375 degrees for 16 minutes. Insert a toothpick to be sure they are done. When ready, they will be a light golden brown.

  • This was a huge hit. I didn't have buttermilk, so I used 1% milk and a tsp of vinegar. I used butter instead of shortening and added about 3 tbsp of spices (cinnamon, nutme). I made these for friends on Saturday morning and they were gone by noon. - 10/5/12
