Introduction

Pinto beans added to turkey as a nutritional filler. Can also be used as a great dip!

Number of Servings: 22

Ingredients

    1 lb ground turkey
    1 6 oz can of tomato paste
    1 Packet Taco Seasoning
    2 15.5 oz cans of Pinto Beans
    12 hard taco shells
    10 soft taco shells
    Condiments of your choosing (lettuce, tomato, cheese,salsa)

    I used a low sodium taco seasoning in this recipe. Tasted pretty good. Also used 93/7 lean ground turkey in this recipe.

    (NOTE:recipe nutritional info does not account for condiments or shells, just turkey taco mixture)

Directions

Open both cans of pinto beans and put in strainer; rinse well. Put in bowl and mash. Cook turkey in skillet until browned. Add pinto beans and tomato paste. Add taco seasoning and 1.5cups of water. Mix well...trust me it will mix up eventually! Heat until simmering. Makes about 22 servings, 1/4 cup each.
