Easy Homemade One Pot Mac n CheeseSubmitted by: WOBBLYMOMMY
IntroductionSuper yummy and very fast! Mac with bechamel cheese sauce. Super yummy and very fast! Mac with bechamel cheese sauce.
Boil until al dente:
1/2 lb elbow macaroni
Drain mac in colander, set aside.
melt 2 tbsp butter/margarine and sprinkle about 2tbsp flour, whisk until combine and cook until flour no longer tastes raw. Add a sprinkling of paprika, some garlic salt, a dash of mustard (dry or deli) and then gently whisk in chicken broth. Simmer until thickened, turn off the heat. Add 4-6 oz grated cheddar cheese (I like using Organic Valley Raw Sharp Cheddar - it's white) and mix until cheese is melted.
Gently stir in macaroni and eat up!
