Introduction

I created this dish trying to think of something easy and farily healthy for hamburger. My family loved it and asks for it frequently. I created this dish trying to think of something easy and farily healthy for hamburger. My family loved it and asks for it frequently.
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    1 pound extra lean ground beef
    3 cloves garlic, crushed
    1 red pepper chopped
    1/2 of a large onion chopped
    2 stalk celery chopped
    8 oz. pckg. mushrooms sliced
    1 cup Wild Rice Blend
    1 3/4 cup chicken broth (99% fat free, low sodium)
    1/4 cup dry white wine
    Salt and Pepper to taste

Directions

In a large skillet, brown hamburger with garlic, pepper, celery, garlic, onion and mushrooms until no longer pink. Meanwhile bring rice, broth and wine to a boil in a seperate sauce pan. Cover and reduce heat, simmer for 50 min. If hamburger finishes before rice, cover and remove from heat. Add rice to hamburger mixture. Salt and pepper to taste.
