2 large cans crushed tomatoes
1 15 oz can petite diced tomatoes
1 Tbsp white sugar
2 cubes beef bouillon, crumbled
1 tsp salt
1 bay leaf
1/4 tsp dried basil
1/4 tsp ground black pepper
1/2 c butter
1/3 c whole wheat flour
36 oz fat free evaporated milk
2. In a small sauce pan over medium heat, melt butter. Whisk in flour, all at once, to form a roux; cook 1 minute. Whisk in evaporated milk, a little at a time, cooking and stirring constantly until thickened. Stir into tomato mixture and heat through.
Makes 8 servings.
