French Dip Roast

Introduction

This roast is great on french rolls. But we like to eat it by itself, or with baked potatoes or rice. This roast is great on french rolls. But we like to eat it by itself, or with baked potatoes or rice.
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    3 pound chuck roast, trimmed
    2 cups water
    1/2 cup Kikkoman's Lite Soy Sauce
    1 tsp. dried rosemary
    1 tsp. dried thyme
    1 tsp. garlic powder
    1 bay leaf
    3-4 whole peppercorns

Directions

Place roast in slow cooker. Add water, soy sauce and seasonings. Cover and cook on high for 5-6 hours or until beef is tender. Remove meat, shred with forks and keep warm. Strain broth. Put in fridge and fat will separate to top. Skim off fat. Pour broth (heated) into small cups for dipping. If desired, divide meat between 8 french rolls (not included in recipe nutritional value). Dip into broth and eat.
