These were really good and super easy to make. This was my first ever flax recipe and I am pleasantly surprised. They kind of reminded me of french toast. I will definitely make these often! I am also anxious to try Aggie's idea as a sandwich bread too. - 9/4/10

Love these. Hot or cold. I leave out the sweet and add caraway and use them for sandwiches too. - 7/3/10

  • I've added a couple tsp of milk to make it a bit fluffier. Also, does anyone know how to scale this recipe, e.g. If I wanted to make 4 pancakes at once? - 3/23/13

  • Love this! Looks really dry but tastes absolutely amazing. I sprinkled some sweetener onto it, but think I will add it to the mixture next time. Yummy!!! - 7/22/12

  • Ummmm... where is the FLUID for this recipe to make a proper batter? I ended up adding about 4 cups of water to get to a more battery consistency - then it was quite nice... I mixed the batter up, just as recommended and it was SO THICK it was like a BALL in the bottom of the bowl!!??!! Cheers - 5/27/12

  • really good, got my regular-waffle loving parents to enjoy them as well. extremely filling, hard to eat more than one. easy to mix in small bowl, takes a little longer to cook than regular pancakes but be patient it's great! I agree about the french toast similarities once you add syrup. - 1/15/12

  • I mixed it up a bit and used cinnamon dolce sugarfree syrup from starbucks in my batter as well as some hazelnut extract, both of which helped it to be even more delicious! I added fresh blueberries on top along with sugarfree maple syrup! Definitely going to have to make again! - 7/16/11
