Angel's All Day Four Bean Chili

Submitted by: TUPPERANGEL

Introduction

This is the chili to remove all chili cravings. I use homecanned tomato products, cooked dried beans, and veggies from the garden. The sodium level is not correct as I was not able to find the nutritional information for no salt added tomatoes. I make this right after lunch so it can simmer away all afternoon. Ingredients

    * Ground Beef Chuck 80/20 , 16 oz
    * Beans, red kidney, 4cup (about 2/3 a pound dry)
    * Beans, black, 4cup
    * Beans, pinto, 4 cup
    * Lentils, 2 cup
    * Garlic, 3 tsp (or 3 cloves minced- I buy the preminced)
    * Onions, raw, 2 cup, chopped
    * Green Peppers (bell peppers), 2 cup, chopped
    * *Tomatoes, red, ripe, canned, wedges in tomato juice, 8 cup
    Tomato Puree 32 oz Cans Three
    Chili seasonings of your choice. I use Chili Powder, cumin, pepper (red and black), and the occassional dash of hot sauce! Seasonings are not included in the nutritional analysis.

Directions

Assemble ingredients. Brown burger with garlic, onion, and pepper. Combine in a large pot with cooked beans and tomatoes. Add spices. Simmer on Low for several hours. It is still good chili, if you can't wait but the longer cooking time really brings it to full flavor!
