Introduction

I tried the Slow Cooker Pork Chops submitted by DIROB**. We really liked it except we don't care that much for oregano. The recipe said it is good with chicken also, so I tried it again, changing up the recipe some. I am submitting this with my changes so I know the nutritional value. Number of Servings: 10

Ingredients

    2.5 lbs (40 oz) Chicken Breasts (deboned and skinned)
    2 c. Water
    1 small Onion, chopped
    1 Tbsp Paprika
    1 Tbsp Garlic Powder
    1/2 Tbsp Poultry Seasoning
    1/2-1 tsp Dried Oregano
    1 tsp Dried Basil
    1/2 Tbsp Salt
    1 tsp Black Pepper (ground or course ground)
    2 Tbsp Corn Starch

Directions

Place chicken in slow cooker topped with chopped onion. In bowl, mix water together with all other ingredients. pour over chicken. Cook on high for 4 hours or low 6 - 8 hours.

Makes about 10 - 4 oz servings (that's pre cooked weight).

Note: works well with pork chops. Use 1 can of chicken broth in the place of water.
