Introduction

Crunchy, swet and salty. This recipe has it all. It is also a great way to get in those daily vegetagle servings. Crunchy, swet and salty. This recipe has it all. It is also a great way to get in those daily vegetagle servings.

Ingredients

    In a large bowl combine:

    1 large bunch broccoli florets chopped into 1/2 inch pieces
    1 C unsalted sunflower seeds
    1 C currents OR raisins
    6-8 pieces crisp bacon crumbled
    1/4 red onion chopped
    Dressing
    1 C Hollywood Mayonnaise
    1/4 C sugar
    2 TBS Heinze salad vinegar
    MIx dressing in a separate container so that the flavors combine and stir into salad just before serving.

Directions

Makes 8 1/2 cup servings.

  • I'm sorry to say, but your calories are way off. I have a package of sunflower seeds and for 1/4 cup it is 190 calories. So, if you add 1 C and then divide the servings by 8 that's 1/8 c or 190 calories divided by 2. That there is more than the 15.2 calories you have listed. Sorry. - 4/29/12
