Hickory Smoke Tofu

Introduction

I like this recipe because the flavours meld together nicely and the slight hickory flavour temps the taste buds. I like this recipe because the flavours meld together nicely and the slight hickory flavour temps the taste buds.
Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    1 pkg. Extra Firm Tofu
    1 cup Red peppers, chopped
    1 large Onion, sliced and halved
    1 cup Celery, diced
    8 TBS Hickory Smoke BBQ sauce
    2 TBS Olive oil

Directions

Rinse tofu in cold water and pat dry. Cut tofu into 1/4 inch slabs and then cube. Sprinkle garlic powder over tofu. Let sit.

Add 1 tbsp olive oil in a non stick frying pan and add peppers, onion, and celery. Saute until translucent (about 5 minutes). Remove from pan and add 1 tbsp olive tofu and brown tofu ( approximately 10 minutes).

Add BBQ sauce and simmer for about three minutes. Mix the peppers, onions, and celery with the tofu.
