Caramel Apple Dessert

Ingredients

    1 1/2 cups Bisquick HeartSmart mix
    2/3 cup granulated sugra
    1/2 cup milk
    2 medium cooking apples, peeled, sliced
    1 tbsp lemon juice
    3/4 cup packed brown sugar
    1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
    1 cup boiling water

Directions

Makes 8 servings.

Heat oven to 350. In medium bowl, mix bisquick and granulated sugar. Stir in milk until blended. Pour into 9 inch square pan. Top with sliced apples and sprinkle with lemon juice. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle over apples. Pour boiling water over apples.

Bake 50-60 minutes until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Serve with ice cream or whipped cream if desired.
