Introduction

A hearty satisfying good for you soup. A hearty satisfying good for you soup.
Number of Servings: 32

Ingredients

    1.29 lbs Stew Meat
    16 Cups Water
    4oz which is about 3/4 cups pearl barley (before Cooking)
    4oz of Dried Green Peas
    4 Carrots
    1 Large Onion
    3 Leeks
    1 small Turnip
    1 small Cabbage
    Fresh Parsley
    1/4 cup of Canola Oil

Directions

Over a medium heat brown the stew meet in a soup pot. Add the vegetables as you cut them up. Let the vegetables sweat as they call it. Cook them for a little while, about 20 mintues on low heat. Then add your water and season with salt and pepper and cook till tender, about an hour. Makes 32 1cup servings.
