Tuna Noodle Casserole

Introduction

This is easy, filling, and can be quick if you omit the baking step. This is easy, filling, and can be quick if you omit the baking step.
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    8 oz. wide egg noodles
    2 T. butter
    2 T. flour
    1 t. salt
    1 c. half and half
    1 c. shredded sharp cheddar cheese
    6 oz. can tuna, drained
    10 oz. bag frozen peas

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 F.
In large pot of water, cook noodles according to package directions. Drain and place in 2 qt. casserole dish.
In same pot, combine flour, butter and salt. Stir over med. low heat until butter is melted and ingredients are combined evenly.
Add milk and whisk until sauce thickens. Add cheese and whisk until cheese is melted.
Stir in tuna and peas and mix well.
Pour over noodles in casserole. Cover and bake for 30 min.
