Kathy Bays Dinner Rolls

Introduction

This is a recipe that was created by my husbands cousin Kathy Bay, and is posted in her memory. It is delicious, and works great with half whole wheat. Number of Servings: 37

Ingredients

    2 Cups Warm Water
    1/2 C Sugar
    1 egg beaten
    2 1/4 tsp yeast
    3 T melted butter
    1 tsp salt
    6 - 7 C Flour

Directions

mix together the first 4 ingredients and allow to sit for 5 minutes. Add 3 cups of the flour, then add butter and salt. Next add remaining flour one cup at a time until the dough pulls clean off the sides of the bowl. I usually knead another 5 minutes after this.
* I mix my dough using my Kitchen Aid stand mixer and the dough attachment.

Raise dough in a greased bowl, coverd with towel, until double in size. Then punch down and shape into individual rolls. Allow to double again, and then bake at 375 for 15-25 minutes. makes about 37 rolls
