Baked Apple Spread

Introduction

A yummy spread to use as a dessert, on top of pancakes, or in other meals. A yummy spread to use as a dessert, on top of pancakes, or in other meals.
Number of Servings: 1

Ingredients

    1 small Apple
    1 tbsp Water
    1 tbsp packed Brown Sugar
    1/2 tbsp Butter
    dash Cinnamon
    dash Nutmeg
    dash Cloves

Directions

Quarter apple and cut out core. Slice quartered pieces again into eighths. Put in crockpot with water, brown sugar, butter, cinnamon, and nutmeg. (If butter is one lump, cut into several pieces.) Stir to distribute ingredients evenly.

Put crockpot on high. Stir after 10 minutes to make sure ingredients are distributed evenly. Cook for two hours.

Once done (apples will be very soft), remove from crockpot. Mash and mix with a fork. Spread on and enjoy. :)

You could probably make this overnight - just set crockpot on low and start when you go to bed. Wake up to luscious baked apple spread in the morning :)
