Introduction

This is an excellent dish, very tasty. Can be served with garlic bread. What I like about it too, is you can add lots of spaghetti noodles and still use the same amount of ground beef if you have more people coming. This is an excellent dish, very tasty. Can be served with garlic bread. What I like about it too, is you can add lots of spaghetti noodles and still use the same amount of ground beef if you have more people coming.
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    1/2 cup chopped onion
    1/2 lb wholewheat spaghetti noodles
    1 1/2 lbs lean ground beef
    1 medium can tomatoes
    1/2 cup low fat cream of mushroom soup
    1 tsp salt
    3/4 cup cheddar cheese (Low fat)

Directions

Fry ground beef with the chopped onion and salt; then put it in casserole dish. Break the noodles into small pieces and cook in boiling water until tender. Wash them in cold water to remove excess starch; then rinse again in hot water. Put noodles on top of the ground beef in your casserole dish. Drain the tomatoes and discard the juice. Cut them up and put them on top of the noodles. Next spoon the cream of mushroom soup over the tomatoes and spread it well. Top with the grated cheese. Cook until the cheese has melted really well.
Serves 6-8 people
